Popular, Inc. created the Fundación Banco Popular to support efforts geared to improving the quality of life for Puerto Ricans. We fulfill this mission by assigning resources to non-profit organizations that work to strengthen our communities.

Since 1979, we have concentrated the efforts in three areas:

• Scholarship fund for children of employees
• Education projects
• Community development projects

We support groups that effectively cultivate the potential of our communities in Puerto Rico, especially among youths. We believe that the well-being of Banco Popular is closely tied to the well-being of each of the communities we serve.

That's why over the years we have supported the efforts of many communities and organizations, such as Juan Domingo, the San Francisco Educational Center in the Barrio Tamarindo of Ponce, the Dorado Community Library and the Castañer Electronic Library.
