Our Creed
Banco Popular is a local institution dedicated exclusively to working for the social and economic wellbeing of Puerto Rico and inspired by the most sound and fundamental principles of good banking.
Banco Popular pledges its efforts and resources to the development of a banking service for Puerto Rico within strict commercial practices and as efficient as required by the most progressive community in the world.
These words, written in 1928 by Don Rafael Carrión Pacheco, Executive Vice President and President (1927-1956), embody the philosophy that governs Popular, Inc. in all its markets.
Our People
The men and women who work for our institution, from the highest executive to the employees who handle the most routinary tasks, feel a special pride in serving our customers with care and dedication. They all feel the innermost satisfaction of belonging to the Banco Popular Family, which fosters affection and understanding among its members, and which at the same time firmly complies with the highest moral and ethical standards of behavior.
These words were written in 1988 by Don Rafael Carrión Jr., President and Chairman of the Board (1956-1991) to commemorate the 95th anniversary of Banco Popular de Puerto Rico and are proof of the commitment to our people.
