Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) is a collection service that allows your business to issue bills or invoices via the Internet. EBPP results in savings because its cost is significantly lower than the cost of paper billing by mail.

The process from your customer's perspective:

Your customers sign on to our Internet Banking and register their account number with your company to receive electronic bills (e-bills) from your company. We send your company a daily file with the account numbers that were registered. You confirm that they are eligible and proceed to flag them for e-billing on your billing system. When the account cycles, the customer will receive an e-mail message informing he has received an e-bill from your company. The customer will then sign on to our Internet Banking where he will be able to view and pay his e-bills, including yours.

The process from your company's perspective:

For Banco Popular to provide EBPP on your company's behalf, there must be a level of electronic communication with your company. Banco Popular will generate a file, on a daily basis, containing the account numbers that were registered. Your company company will then return a file, also daily, confirming they are eligible and flagging them for e-billing on your billing system.

Your company also sends a second file, also daily, containing the invoice information that is to be presented to the customers
